Bela Patel DNP, CRNP-NP-C
Dr. Patel is a certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and an Instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Nursing. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (2019) and master’s in nursing (2015) from University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her doctoral project focused on addressing Diabetes Distress in the indigent population with diabetes. In 2016, Dr. Patel started working as an instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Nursing. She currently maintains her faculty practice as the lead nurse practitioner at the Providing Access to Health Care (PATH) Clinic which specializes in providing care to the indigent population with diabetes.
