Evaluation of pelvic floor disorders can be challenging by physical exam alone. Imaging with MR Defecography, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy can assist in further characterization of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. This presentation demonstrates typical imaging of pelvic floor disorders with focus on common indications, such as differentiation of rectocele from enterocele, detection of prolapse that may be occult on clinical examination, evaluation of patients with defecatory dysfunction, and those with pelvic floor mesh, slings, and bulking agents.

This presentation reviews the multidisciplinary approach to bladder preservation with tri-modality therapy for bladder cancer. We consider the quality of life implications of allowing patients to retain their native bladder and consider how disease outcomes compare to removal of the bladder with radical cystectomy. We discuss appropriate patient selection for this important, curative treatment option for patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer.
