Researchers and health care professionals broke out of disciplinary silos to collaborate at the "Uncovering the Hidden Burden of Benign Genitourinary Conditions" workshop sponsored by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) in October 2019. This presentation reports about the ongoing collaboration. Case studies highlight the economic, environmental, and quality of life burdens, and links between genitourinary conditions and obesity, heart failure, diabetes, and depression.
