In this lecture, the history of the experience of the non-cisgender and the gender non-binary patients in the medical field is presented. Our duty and privilege as urology providers to lead the charge in reconstructing the experience for these patients and to demonstrate ability, comfort, compassion, knowledge and community in our delivery of care is discussed.
