Margaret McLean is an adult clinical nurse specialist and primary care provider in UT Southwestern Medical Center's Department of Internal Medicine's William T. and Gay Solomon General Internal Medicine Clinic and the APP Lead for the primary care service line. She completed her undergraduate degree in environmental sciences from Texas Tech University and Master of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Austin. She has practiced in internal medicine for 12 years in hospital, rehabilitation, and outpatient clinic settings, has over 3,000 hours precepting clinical nurse specialist, APP students and medical students, has led several quality improvement projects and given numerous presentations to local and statewide audiences.
