Dr. Tara Thompson obtained her doctorate from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 2012, after receiving a biomedical science degree from Texas A&M University. She has been a compounding pharmacist for 9 years, specializing in the research and clinical development of new drug formulations. She collaborates with providers and patients across the United States who are interested or presently using compounded medications. Her areas of expertise and extensive research include female and male sexual dysfunction, pelvic health, and hormone replacement. She currently serves as the vice president of clinical services at Innovation Compounding. She is a Fellow and board member of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding, a preceptor of students from four colleges of pharmacy, and is a speaker and panelist for several health organizations.
