Dr. Nicole Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. Interested in improving patient outcomes and nursing education and research, she conducts research in the context of urologic nursing and geriatric nursing. Dr. Zhang’s foci are urinary tract infection and urinary incontinence, having proposed a novel definition of urinary incontinence for nursing as well as conducting the only transcultural examination of urinary incontinence. She is working with a multidisciplinary team on using minimum dataset (MDS) to examine the relationship between urinary tract infections and prophylactic antibiotic usage.
