Dr Flagg is a certified urologic nurse practitioner at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she has worked with a veteran population since 2006. She obtained her Masters in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2006 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University in 2014. She has been certified with CBUNA for the last 10 years. She has written and lectured on management of stone disease to primary care and urologic specialty audiences since 2007. While at Vanderbilt she investigated the processes that affect timeliness in which her facility identified and managed bladder cancers. The results of her study have become the impetus for improvements in timeliness of consultation for hematuria from primary care and the Emergency Department, and have led to improved adherence to guidelines for workup of hematuria.
