Lori Guelman, NP, works at the Stanford Adult Urology clinic, treating and managing patients with a spectrum of Urological conditions including cystitis, incontinence, BPH, hematuria, kidney stones, voiding dysfunction, urinary retention, impotence/erectile dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, pre and post operative care, prostatitis, neurogenic bladder, pelvic pain, and bladder cancer. Her responsibilities include performing comprehensive history and physical exams, diagnosing, ordering labs and appropriate tests as well as performing biofeedback and bladder instillations. She enjoys educating and empowering patients about their conditions, and focuses on enabling her patients to be knowledgeable and involved in their care. Prior to this, Lori worked as a nurse at the University of California, San Francisco Liver/Kidney Transplant inpatient unit. She graduated with honors from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA in December 2007, with her RN degree and MSN degree, specializing as an FNP.

Lori has been an active member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners since 2008, and is currently co-educational chair for the San Francisco/peninsula chapter. She first co-presented this talk at the 2010 CANP meeting. She is also certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
