Description

This lecture discusses management of urinary tract infections and responsible use of antibiotics from an infectious diseases point of view. Also covered are situations in which the advanced practice provider (APP) should not use antibiotics and how these situations should be handled with patients (for example, what we should say to patients to explain WHY we should not use antibiotics). Lastly, the APP will be able to recognize when infectious diseases should be consulted to assist in management of these often complex patients.
