Description

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) can be challenging to deal with because of the various presentations (uncomplicated, complicated, catheterassociated UTIs, etc). In the age of antimicrobial resistance, this challenge becomes a greater test of clinical skills. Proper dosing of antimicrobials is integral in dealing with these resistant infections. However, the immune system and its role should be considered. This presentation provides an overview of resistant UTIs and the evidence for treating them.
