283 - Physical Therapy Intervention for the Post-Prostatectomy Patient

Description

Participants are provided an overview of male urological anatomy and physical therapy evaluation of the post-prostatectomy patient. Physical therapy intervention is taught including; diet, fluid intake, posture, bladder retraining, pelvic floor exercises, core and accessory muscle strengthening. Functional progression of exercises are taught so the patient can resume preop functional status including golf, tennis, weight lifting, and other forms of exercise. Participants leave with specific exercises patients should be taught in order to return to normal function.
