This session presents an overview of the basics of fecal incontinence that the urologic nurse will want to know; from its epidemiology to evidenced-based nursing interventions. The high occurrence of fecal and urinary incontinence are discussed. Risks for fecal incontinence in various patient groups will be examined. Current conservative management and gaps in evidence are reviewed.
