Obstructive conditions leading to obstructive uropathy, hydronephrosis, bladder outlet obstruction, or urinary retention are encountered in daily urologic practice. Urology has a plethora of devices that once inserted can relieve GU obstruction. As these devices are inserted, managed, and removed by urologic nurses, this lecture will target the new-to-urology APRN or the urology nurse who needs a refresher regarding device use.
