The purpose of this talk is to summarize current imaging practices in urologic oncology applications including prostate cancer, urothelial cancer, and renal cell carcinoma. Recent advances in nuclear medicine for prostate cancer imaging are summarized including novel tracer agents for PET. Prostate MRI, CT and MR urography, along with conventional CT imaging are discussed in the context of urologic malignancies.

Integration of APPs into the urological care setting can be challenging, with differences among the current state and federal regulatory environments, reimbursement considerations, and role expectations. The role of the NP in a urology practice is highly variable and dependent on the needs of the practice. This presentation discusses the basics of on-boarding the APP new to urology and the potential specifics of the individual role.

Video-urodynamics is considered the "gold standard" for the evaluation of voiding abnormalities. This presentation shows how video adds an anatomic dimension to the urodynamic study that is complimentary to the pressure/flow study. Several urodynamic case studies are presented, exploring what advantages can be offered and what information will be missed unless video is utilized. Common anatomic abnormalities encountered, such as bladder outlet obstruction, bladder diverticulum, and vesicoureteral reflux are demonstrated.

This presentation covers various topics encountered in Urotrauma and urologic emergencies including predicting genitourinary trauma based on injury mechanisms and how to distinguish various urinary systems injuries (urethral, bladder, ureteral, renal) based on findings, mechanisms of injury and treatment plans. There is discussion on the appropriate diagnostic tests and interventions performed for diagnosis of urinary system (urethral, bladder, ureteral, renal) injury and clinical findings in the traumatically injured patient that may suggest renal injury and current treatment guidelines. Common male and female genital tract injuries based on mechanism of injury, clinical presentation and treatment considerations is also discussed.
