This preconference session reviews pharmacologic management of prevalent and benign urologic conditions including urinary tract infections, OAB/urge incontinence, prostatic enlargement, urinary retention/ incomplete bladder emptying, nocturia, painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis, erectile dysfunction, and hypogonadism. A review the newest targeted therapies used for managing advanced stage urologic cancers is presented. Emphasis is placed on the role of Advanced Practice Provider and expert clinician related to pharmacologic management of these prevalent and clinically relevant urologic conditions.

The latest quality control (QC) options when considering recommending products over the counter (OTC) is discussed along with reviewing clinical studies supporting and not supporting these options for prostate cancer prevention/treatment/side effects. Other urologic conditions such as BPH, ED/FSD, stones, UTI, etc., also receive some attention as time permitted.
