This preconference session reviews pharmacologic management of prevalent and benign urologic conditions including urinary tract infections, OAB/urge incontinence, prostatic enlargement, urinary retention/ incomplete bladder emptying, nocturia, painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis, erectile dysfunction, and hypogonadism. A review the newest targeted therapies used for managing advanced stage urologic cancers is presented. Emphasis is placed on the role of Advanced Practice Provider and expert clinician related to pharmacologic management of these prevalent and clinically relevant urologic conditions.

Are you planning to seek certification in the urologic specialty? If so, this course is designed as a study session to prepare participants for the urology certification exam. This is an adjunct to preparing for the exam in addition to utilizing the detailed Examination Preparation Guide prepared by CBUNA. The course reviews urinary tract inflammations, voiding dysfunction, obstructive uropathies, male infertility, sexual dysfunction and urologic cancers. Participants are also given some test taking strategies.

The purpose of this talk is to summarize current imaging practices in urologic oncology applications including prostate cancer, urothelial cancer, and renal cell carcinoma. Recent advances in nuclear medicine for prostate cancer imaging are summarized including novel tracer agents for PET. Prostate MRI, CT and MR urography, along with conventional CT imaging are discussed in the context of urologic malignancies.
