After completing this education activity, the learner will be able to interpret UDS studies to aid in correctly diagnosing a voiding dysfunction.
Video-urodynamics is considered the "gold standard" for the evaluation of voiding abnormalities. This presentation shows how video adds an anatomic dimension to the urodynamic study that is complimentary to the pressure/flow study. Several urodynamic case studies are presented, exploring what advantages can be offered and what information will be missed unless video is utilized. Common anatomic abnormalities encountered, such as bladder outlet obstruction, bladder diverticulum, and vesicoureteral reflux are demonstrated.
