In this session, nurses will gain an overview of America’s growing opioid crisis and the role they as healthcare providers play in preventing and managing opioid-related complications. This includes understanding evidence-based trends in pain management, patient screening tools, patient communication tools, overdose prevention strategies and referrals for opioid addiction.
