Antibiotic resistance is one of the greatest public health threats. Approximately 2 million people become sick each year with antibiotic resistant infections and the costs associated with antibiotic resistance are rising. It also discusses the core principles of stewardship, common overly prescribed antibiotics and antibiotic stewardship programs.
