Both tibial and sacral nerve stimulation have been shown to be effective treatment options listed as level III on the overactive bladder pathway. These neuromodulation treatments were developed decades ago with few changes until the last year or so. Now new technology (such as rechargeable generators, MRI compatible systems, implantable tibial device) offers patients and clinicians choices that have definite improvements.
