The purpose of this session is to provide the urology nurse with an overview of the options (non-surgical and surgical) available to their postprostatectomy patients suffering with SUI. Pre/postoperative assessment are reviewed, including the Standing Cough Test: an objective measurement of SUI. Additionally, the impact of urinary incontinence on self-efficacy and quality of life are discussed.
