Imaging is the cornerstone of the diagnosis of kidney stones and it plays an important role in surgical planning, surgical management and follow-up of patients with kidney stones. The different imaging modalities available for diagnosing stones, their risks and benefits and their indications for use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with kidney stones is presented.
