This presentation will review the APRN consensus model, in the context of the need to increase access and the aging population’s need for specialty care, and discuss how NPs in urology can provide patient care across the urology continuum. Emerging issues for the NP who wishes to maintain a specialty practice will be discussed, including education/certification; legal issues; present and future regulatory issues; and present and future reimbursement issues.
