Women with pelvic floor disorders (PFDs) face major health burdens and may experience change in sexual health and function. The current evidence for PFD therapies and how to provide anticipatory guidance for women considering therapy are discussed. The role of the clinician is critical to provide a safe environment to discuss sexual health, ask sensitive questions, understand evidence-based therapies available, recognize their impact on sexual function, and provide holistic care for women with PFDs.
