330 - Malpractice Liability Concerns for the RN and APN in Urologic Practice

‐ Nov 7, 2016 11:55am

Credits: None available.

Information provided in this session will help nurses understand and stay clear of malpractice liability danger zones in urologic practice. In order for a plaintiff’s case to be successful, the patient must prove that the clinician had a duty of care to the patient, the clinician breached the standard of care (made a mistake), the patient was injured, and the mistake caused the injury. Through case analyses, the speaker discusses standard of care in urologic practice, as well as when and how to decline to take on a "duty of care."
