350 - Plagues Through The Ages, Urological Implications

‐ Oct 26, 2015 12:30pm

Credits: None available.

This lecture presents the Black Death, tuberculosis and measles throughout the ages and the treatments and interesting, quirky tales and folklore that surround them. There is discussion on current outbreaks and treatment recommendations. In urology, we may be the first providers to identify these diseases as they affect the urinary system. Urology providers need to be able to recognize these diseases and react quickly with the appropriate treatment to decrease the risk of epidemics. We need to learn from the past to prevent repeating our mistakes.
