An overview of the 2015 National Patient Safety Goals (The Joint Commission) with emphasis on care of the perioperative urology patient are reviewed. Topics covered include malignant hyperthermia, SCIP, surgical site infection prevention, VTE prophylaxis, and CAUTI prevention.
