Musculoskeletal contributions of vestibular and vulvar pain are discussed. Common lumbopelvic and pelvic floor trigger point referral patterns are identified. The role of the autonomic nervous system and its relationship to the musculoskeletal system is reviewed. Basic physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques are discussed in order to provide a clearer understanding of the role of physical therapy in treating these disorders.
