This presentation will provide discussion of the aging underactive bladder in the elderly and risk factors associated with an underactive bladder. Underactive bladder and current standards will be discussed including definition, causes, and treatments as they pertain to the elderly. Case studies will be presented to discuss medical and surgical management of the elderly with an emphasis on minimal intervention and optimizing quality of life. Current research and evidence-based practice will be presented.
