    Using evidence review, case presentations, and small group break-out sessions, select pelvic floor pathologies including pelvic floor tension myalgia, vulvar dermatoses, pelvic organ prolapse, and female sexual dysfunction are addressed. A review of related anatomy and physiology, pharmacologic treatments, and clinical skills including pessary management, trigger point injections, and female sexual dysfunction evaluation and treatment are also presented.

    Complete the learning activity in its entirety and complete the online CNE evaluation. You will be able to print your CNE certificate at any time after you complete the evaluation.

    Objectives:
    1. Describe the anatomy of the pelvic floor.
    2. Demonstrate the physical exam of the pelvic floor.
    3. Describe some treatment modalities and pharmacologic options for pelvic floor tension myalgia.
    4. Describe the categories of female sexual dysfunction and prevalence associated with those categories.
    5. Describe the clinical visit including history taking and genital exam for a women with female sexual dysfunction.
    6. Identify treatment options for female sexual dysfunction.
    7. Describe findings and differential diagnosis for 3 common vulvar dermatoses: contact dermatitis, lichen sclerosis, and lichen simplex chronicus.
    8. Describe indications for vulvar biopsy.
    9. Explain management strategies for 3 common types of vulvar dermatoses.
    10. Demonstrate assessment of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.
    11. Describe considerations of pessary selection and follow-up.
    12. Demonstrate pessary fitting.
