This workshop provides a thorough explanation of female pelvic anatomy and layers of the pelvic floor muscles. The functions of the pelvic floor muscles and their relationship to pathological disorders are addressed. Education on other musculoskeletal contributions to pelvic floor dysfunction is provided. The workshop also includes evidence-based information on physical therapy intervention and treatment. Screening techniques including medical history and chief complaints are discussed to identify sources of dysfunction.
