This presentation will describe bladder cancer; surgery; and follow-up treatments. It will focus on BCG; but will include other intravesical therapeutic agents; their handling; use; results and patient education.

Learning Objectives:
  • Describe when BCG is indicated for use in Bladder Cancer.
  • List the side effects associated with BCG instillations.
  • Discuss the appropriate aftercare instructions to be reviewed with patients receiving BCG.
  • Describe other intravesical treatments used; when indicated and possible side effects.
