Philip Odiyo Ouma MA

Philip Odiyo Ouma currently serves as Country Lead for A Fresh Chapter in Kenya. A Fresh Chapter is a United States Based non-profit organization that deals with emotional empowerment for cancer patients and their caregivers in Kenya and the United States. Philip is past Director for International Psycho-Oncology Society representing Africa at the Board (2019-2023). He has presented in several international meetings in Rotterdam (2013), Lisbon (2014) and Berlin (2017). Miami (2021), Phoenix (2022) among others. He is a reviewer in the following Journals: The Breast Journal, Supportive Care in Cancer, e-Cancer Journal and Psycho-Oncology: Journal of Psychological, Social, and behavioral dimensions of cancer, Journal of Sexual Medicine among others. He is currently Vice Chair Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations, Vice President. Psycho-oncology Society of Africa, Lead. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Erasmus Medical University in Rotterdam Netherlands. Philip Received Naomi Stearns Award in 2018 at the Association for Oncology Social Work in the US.
