This presentation will begin with a brief overview of palliative care and how it differs from hospice. We will explore language to use with your urological cancer patients when curative treatment may no longer be appropriate. Symptom management strategies for treating pain, nausea and anorexia will include both pharmacological and non-pharmacological options. Formulating a comprehensive approach to support both patients and their family requires a team effort. Case studies will be presented.
