Managing and understanding a urostomy requires a bit more awareness of the details compared to a fecal ostomy. Understanding these details will help clinicians better serve the needs of the ostomate. This session includes common types of urinary diversions seen in an acute care setting and tidbits on how they are managed in the immediate postoperative period.
