Dr Flagg has worked as a nurse in the urologic field for 20 years, mostly with American Veterans. As an NP, she regularly evaluated Veterans with hematuria and surveillance of bladder cancer for 10 years prior to clinically retiring in 2021. In her doctoral program at Vanderbilt University, she investigated the methods in which her place of employment first identified bladder cancer and instituted changes to improve timeliness of management of new bladder cancers Results were published in Journal for Nurse Practitioners in 2016.
