John P. Elia PhD, MA, BA

Dr. John Elia is professor and associate chair of health education at San Francisco State University, where he has taught for 25 years. He has taught courses both on the history of public health in the U.S. and the history of San Francisco. Currently he is at work on a book-length manuscript on the history of public health in San Francisco.
