John “Brandon” Arruda has been with West Virginia University Medicine since 2009. As an Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Certified Urology Nurse Practitioner, Brandon focuses clinically on adult genitourinary malignancies and preventive cancer care. He holds leadership positions on the advanced practice counsel for WVU Ruby and is 2024’s American Urologic Association co-course director for their national conference. In addition to his clinical role, he serves as the Program Director for the Department of Urology’s Advanced Practice Fellowship Program, which he established in 2023. Brandon regularly guest lectures to PA and APRN students at West Virginia University. He has a special interest in advancing artificial intelligence utilization within healthcare systems.
