Donna F. Brassil has 20 years of clinical experience in Urology. She is currently the Clinical and Translational Research Facilitator at The Rockefeller University. In this role, she assists the scientists and MD's in translating their bench discoveries into human subject research by writing protocols, designing research studies, an conducting clinical research.
Formerly, she was the Director of Clinical Trials for the Urology Department at New York University Medical Center. In this role, she was accountable for the administrative and clinical operations of all urologic clinical trials and research initiatives. The clinical trials focused on urinary incontinence, male and female sexuality, BPH, and urologic cancers. Prior to this position, she was the Director of Nursing for seven clinical surgical units in the Department of Nursing at the same Medical Center and formerly the GU Nurse Manager and also a staff nurse in Urology.
Ms. Brassil graduated from SUNY, Downstate Medical Center with a BSN and from New York University with a MA in Nursing Education. She has taught nursing in the BSN program at NYU and has published and lectured on a variety of clinical, nursing, and theoretical topics. She is also certified in urology and clinical research.
