As a follow-up to last year’s presentation on laser safety this lecture focuses on how lasers are used in urology. The various types of lasers are discussed and which urologic procedures can benefit from the laser. Nursing implications for each procedure and laser are presented, as well as complications and contraindications for laser usage.
