Anne Suskind MD, MS, FACS, FPMRS

Dr. Anne Suskind is an associate professor of urology and of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where she serves both as the chief of neurourology and female pelvic medicine and as the director of faculty development. Her research focuses on the impact of frailty on surgical outcomes in older adults; with a particular emphasis on procedures performed to improve health-related quality of life. To this effect, she is currently funded by an R01 from the NIH/NIA and serves as a primary mentor on several other NIH-funded grants with her mentees. Dr. Suskind’s research has been nationally recognized by both the geriatric and urologic communities. Most recently, she was awarded the 2020 Zimskind Award from SUFU, which recognizes significant contributions to the field from an early investigator less than 10 years out from training. She has also received numerous awards from the American Geriatrics Society (AGS), the American Urologic Society (AUA), among others. Dr. Suskind currently serves as the chair of the ethics committee for the International Continence Society (ICS) and also as the chair for the ICS working group on ethical considerations in older adults with urinary incontinence.
