A task force made up of SUNA members recently revised the Urologic Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice document which has been affirmed and approved by the ANA Board of Directors. This session includes a panel discussion of members who served on the SUNA appointed task force to discuss the clinical significance of our scope and standards of practice as it relates to our professional role which all registered nurses must practice, as well as how this document will impact future initiatives for all SUNA members. The panel also shares specific examples of how the Urologic Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice document relates to pelvic floor disorders, how the document was developed and the approval process working with the ANA.
